You read that title correctly. It is official, Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District is staffed on station with 2 providers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. USV EMS has been working on many different things behind the scenes. There are a lot of moving parts when attempting to go from mostly volunteer to a 24/7 staffed operation.
On Saturday, January 6, 2024, the members of Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District came together for their annual Christmas dinner, year end awards and a surprise retirement party for Kurt and Robert.

Chief Helton was able to obtain the BWC Grant for the full $40,000 which help to offset the cost of one new power cot, power load system and a stair chair. This grant is only available every 3 years.
