24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week, 365 Days a Year!!

You read that title correctly. It is official, Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District is staffed on station with 2 providers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As of June 1, 2024, Chief Helton was able to hire enough providers to officially kick off the 24/7 on station staffed coverage. There are now 7 full-time providers, 8 part-time providers, 8 volunteers (2 of whom are Honorary Members), a full-time EMS Chief and a part-time Board Fiscal Officer. Our department is growing and we couldn't be more excited for the future ahead. We would not be where we are if it weren't for the outpouring of support from the entire district. So thank you to all of you who have stood with us. This has not been an easy task as every single department nation wide is suffering a shortage of providers. Thankfully we were able to bring on some pretty amazing people to join our ambulance district to provide 911 emergency medical services for you and your loved ones.

Every department (First Responders, Firefighters, and Law Enforcement) is struggling so please consider getting certified and joining a department somewhere. Now is your time to make a difference in the lives of others.
