It is official!! We ARE now operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week on station with 2 providers at ALL times. A lot of work has went into this and it wouldn't be possible without the support of our entire district.
All 9-1-1 calls are covered from the Alger station.

Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District
The District is made up of 26 members with 23 active members. We have 2 members on honorary status, 2 members that reside in the South part of the district, 7 members that reside in the North part of the district and 15 members that reside outside of the district.
- Chief Aunee Helton has served on the department since 2007 and is an Advanced EMT, Firefighter Level 1, CPR Instructor, CEU Instructor
- Alicia Roberts has served on the department since 2010 and is an EMT
- Retired Chief Doug LaRue has served on the department since 1993 and is an Advanced EMT, CPR Instructor, CEU Instructor. Doug is one of our part-time providers
- Robin LaRue has served on the department since 1993 and is an EMT
- Curtis Engelhardt is the longest running EMT, as he joined the department when it was first created in 1974 and became an Honorary Member in 2022
- Robert Rushing has served on the department since 1998 and is a Paramedic and became an Honorary Member in 2023
- Jackie Gibson has served on the department on and off since 2016 and is an EMT. Jackie made the move to full-time January 2, 2024 and works B-Shift for our ambulance district
- Jason Helton has served on the department since 2020 and is an EMT and a Firefighter Level 1. Jason serves as a part-time provider
- Ashlie Goodin has served on the department since 2020 and is an EMT. Ashlie serves as a part-time provider and is our departmental treasurer
- David Rose has served on the department since 2021 and is an EMT
- Janet Conrad has served on the department since 2002 and is an EMT
- Elizabeth Sherman has served on the department since 2021 and is an EMT. Elizabeth serves as a part-time provider
- Jodi Gibson has served on the department on and off since 2005 and is an EMR
- Shelby Nelson has served on the department since 2021 and is a Driver for EMS
- David Maris has returned as one of our full-time providers as of April 8, 2024. David is a Paramedic and a Level 2 Firefighter working A-Shift for our ambulance district
- Scott Boecker serves as one of our full-time providers. He joined the department May 29, 2024. Scott is a Paramedic working B-Shift for our ambulance district
- Logan Friesner serves as one of our part-time providers. He joined the department May 28, 2024. Logan is a Basic EMT and a Level 2 Firefighter, a CEU Instructor, and a CPR Instructor
- Maria Ross serves as one of our full-time providers. She joined the department May 27, 2024. Maria is a Basic EMT working D-Shift for our ambulance district
- Jeffrey Liston serves as one of our full-time providers. He joined the department May 20, 2024. Jeff is a Basic EMT working C-Shift for our ambulance district
- Justin Roberts has returned as one of our part-time providers June 2024. Justin is a Level 2 Firefighter, Paramedic, CEU Instructor, and Fire Safety Inspector
- Olivia Iott serves as one of our part-time providers. Olivia is a Basic EMT hired September 2024.
- Abigail Furer serves as one of our part-time providers. Abigail is a Basic EMT hired September 2024
- Chuck Howell serves as one of our part-time providers. Chuck is an Advanced EMT hired September 2024
- Jody Barto serves as one of our full-time providers. Jody is a Paramedic hired September 2024, working D-Shift for our ambulance district
- Noah Harris serves as one of our full-time providers. Noah is a Basic EMT hired October 2024, working A-Shift for our ambulance district
- Brandi Weber serves as one of our full-time providers. Brandi is a Basic EMT who is finishing her Paramedic certification. Brandi was hired in November 2024, working C-Shift for our ambulance district
